Greetings and Thanks for Visiting my Site!
My Name is Jake Thornton Ezell. I am currently a Web Editor for the Reading Eagle, the major daily newspaper of record for Reading, Pennsylvania and Berks County region of Pennsylvania. I am also a Freelance Writer, Content Developer, Journalist and Poet - currently residing in the Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
In college I focused on the art of written investigative reporting and editing; leading me to take the bulk of my courses in Journalism, Public Relations and Communications.
With an interest in covering social issues, I found a lot of value in taking courses like Persuasion and Propaganda, Creative Writing, Contemporary Rhetoric, Advertising and Media Management.
Investigating stories on a local, national and international scale complimented by my interests in social issues led me to earn my degree in Journalism with a secondary-focus in Communications (Dec. 2012).
I've created this webpage to display my professional - as well as my habitual - works digitaly; in hopes of reaching a broader audience creatively, inspirationally and informatively.

About Jake:
Jake Thornton Ezell is from Mont Clare, Pennsylvania and author of several works of poetry and nonfiction. His poems have been published in Genesis literary magazine, Dead Flowers: A Poetry Rag, Canto Magazine and Field Notes: Interpretations of Nature. A recent college graduate, Jake has found a temporary home in Rochester, New York while he figures out how to make a living with a bachelor's degree in journalism.
